3.10.2.32 Any defects or concerns raised by the <strong>City</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Cape</strong> <strong>Town</strong> Electricity Services must be<br />
rectified before those set-pieces may be installed.<br />
3.10.3 SET-PIECE MAINTENANCE SPECIFICATION<br />
3.10.3.1 Before maintenance work commences, the scope <strong>of</strong> work, material and labour quantities<br />
must be agreed with the <strong>City</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Cape</strong> <strong>Town</strong> Electricity Services for each set-piece.<br />
3.10.3.2 All damaged rope lights, fairy lights and wiring, that were pointed out by the <strong>City</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Cape</strong><br />
<strong>Town</strong> Electricity Services, must be marked and stripped from the set-pieces.<br />
3.10.3.3 All damaged welds, which were pointed out by the <strong>City</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Cape</strong> <strong>Town</strong> Electricity Services,<br />
must be marked and re-welded.<br />
3.10.3.4 It must be ensured that the set-piece still looks like the design that it was made from. If any<br />
<strong>of</strong> the metal parts are missing, it needs to be pointed out by the <strong>City</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Cape</strong> <strong>Town</strong><br />
Electricity Services and replaced by the Contractor. If any <strong>of</strong> the metal parts are bent it<br />
needs to be straightened to the original design.<br />
3.10.3.5 In the case where it is pointed out by the <strong>City</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Cape</strong> <strong>Town</strong> Electricity Services that the<br />
paintwork is not in a satisfactory condition, the paint on the set-piece must be removed and<br />
cleaned.<br />
3.10.3.6 After the set-piece is cleaned and dried, the set-piece may be sprayed according to the<br />
design.<br />
3.10.3.7 The set-pieces that must be spray painted, must first be sprayed with a primer. Ensure that<br />
two (2) layers <strong>of</strong> primer are sprayed on the set-piece.<br />
3.10.3.8 After applying the primer, the set-piece must first be left to dry properly.<br />
3.10.3.9 Colour spray paint must be applied next. Ensure that three layers <strong>of</strong> paint are sprayed on<br />
the set-pieces.<br />
3.10.3.10 Where more than one colour needs to be sprayed to a set-piece, ensure that no over<br />
spraying takes place.<br />
3.10.3.11 The following Dulux Duco (or equivalent to approval) paint must be used for the spray <strong>of</strong><br />
set-pieces:<br />
� Primer<br />
� Aerosol Matt Black Paint<br />
� Aerosol Matt White Paint<br />
� Aerosol HG Black Paint<br />
� Aerosol Appliance White Paint<br />
� Aerosol HG Royal Blue Paint<br />
� Aerosol HG Signal Red Paint<br />
� Aerosol HG Yellow Paint<br />
� Aerosol HG Green Paint<br />
� Aerosol HG Brown Paint<br />
3.10.3.<strong>12</strong> The set-pieces must be left to dry properly.<br />
3.10.3.13 As soon as the spray paint is dry on the set-pieces it must be inspected by the <strong>City</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Cape</strong><br />
<strong>Town</strong> Electricity Services to see if the spray paint is done properly.<br />
