The accuracy needed in positioning these drains is usually notgreat, and most of the setting-out can be left to the foreman/ganger.The site engineer should: provide foreman/ganger with drain layout on Site Information Sheet establish pegs at suitable heights above drain levels make spot checks on line and level before backfilling.Note: The ganger can transfer levels from peg to bottom of trench by means of levelling board and spirit level.CIRIA C70995
