Installation5.1 General information on installationCaution5.2 Installation location5.2.1 Space required for operation andmaintenanceNoteThe control elements must be easily accessibleduring operation.Maintenance work on the dosing head and thevalves must be carried out regularly.Provide sufficient space for removing the dosinghead and the valves.5.2.2 Permissible ambient influencesPermissible ambient temperature: 0 °C to +40 °C.Permissible air humidity: max. relative humidity:92 % (non-condensing).CautionWarningObserve the specifications for theinstallation location and range ofapplications described in sections1. General information and5.2 Installation location.WarningFaults, incorrect operation or faults onthe pump or system can, for example,lead to excessive or insufficient dosing,or the permissible pressure may beexceeded. Consequential faults ordamage must be evaluated by theoperator and appropriate precautionsmust be taken to avoid them!The DDI 0.4-10 (not with Plus 3 system)should be operated with floodedsuction!The pump must be installed in aposition where it is easily accessibleduring operation and maintenancework.The installation site must be undercover!Ensure that the enclosure class ofmotor and pump is not affected by theatmospheric conditions.Pumps with electronics are onlysuitable for indoor use!Do not install outdoors!5.2.3 Mounting surfaceThe pump must be mounted on a flat surface.5.3 MountingCaution5.3.1 Horizontal mounting105Fig. 10 Drilling scheme• Use four M6 screws to mount the pump on thetank or on a console so that the suction valve is atthe bottom and the discharge valve is at the top(dosing always flows upwards).5.3.2 Vertical mountingNoteCarefully tighten the screws, otherwisethe plastic housing may be damaged.1. Mount the pump on a vertical surface (e.g. a wall)using four M6 screws.2. Unscrew the dosing head (four inner dosing headscrews (1q + 2q)).3. Turn the intermediate ring (4q) so that thedischarge hole points downwards.4. Turn the dosing head 90 ° so that the suctionvalve is at the bottom and the discharge valve isat the top (dosing always flows upwards).5.
