Start-up / shutdownCautionWarningIP65 can only be ensured if the powersupply cable is connected with IP65protection.WarningRisk of chemical burns!Wear protective clothing (gloves andgoggles) when working on the dosinghead, connections or lines! Before each start-up, check the dosinghead screws. After initial start-up and after each timethe diaphragm is changed, tighten thedosing head screws. After approximately 6-10 operatinghours or two days, cross-tighten thedosing head screws using a torquewrench.Maximum torque:DDI 0.4 - DDI 5.5: 2.1 Nm.DDI 13.8 - DDI 20: 2.5 Nm.7.1 Initial start-up / subsequent start-up7.1.1 Checks before start-up• Check that the rated voltage stated on the pumpnameplate corresponds to the local conditions!• Check that all connections are secure andtighten, if necessary.• Check that the dosing head screws are tightenedwith the specified torque and tighten,if necessary.• Check that all electrical connections are correct. With Plus 3 system• Open the isolating valve (D) at the calibrationtube.
7.1.2 Assisting suction for Plus 3 systemPumps with Plus 3 system have an assisting suction.• Fit the syringe and the piece of hose.TM03 6242 4506Fig. 25 Assisting suction for Plus 3 systemWarningEnsure that the pump is stopped!Sucking in dosing medium using the assisting suction for Plus 3 systemTM03 6243 4506Fig. 26 Sucking in the dosing medium1. Remove the cover from the priming chamber.2. Push the hose as far as it will go into the valvetube.3. Draw up the syringe in order to create aperceptible low pressure, and hold the syringe inthis position.4. Dosing medium rises in the suction line, throughthe valve tube to the suction hose.5. Relieve the syringe.6. Remove the syringe and hose and empty.7. Close the cover.– For HV-variant pumps, see section7.1.3 Assisting suction for HV variant.– Pump without HV variant can now be started, see section 7.1.5 Starting the pump.7.1.3 Assisting suction for HV variantHV-variant pumps have an assisting suction.• Fit the syringe and the piece of hose.Fig. 27 Assisting suction for HV variantWarningEnsure that the pump is stopped!TM03 6244 450629
