ESPionage 2171972 biological warfare treaty. Information regarding thisfacility was passed along to the Biological Threat AnalysisCenter and the State Department.Although most of the missions undertaken by the PsiSpies dealt with serious national security issues, there weremoments of levity.Riley recalled one Christmas when several members ofthe unit, including the commander, pressed one of the remoteviewers into service to locate a suspected terrorist. Theviewer was told that this terrorist was a foreigner who waswell known and bent upon making mischief during the holidayseason. Riley recalled:This guy really busted his ass on that one. But nothingseemed to make sense. He saw this persondressed in red and that he had several small helpers andthat he traveled very unconventionally. This guyworked for several days and finally decided to closelyremote view this person’s means of transportation fora clue to his identity. He saw what appeared to be asleigh and that it would travel over the North Pole and, wham, it hit him—he had been remote viewing SantaClaus! He was really mad for a moment, but thenlaughed at this joke along with everyone else. The interesting point here is that, although Santa is not areal person, there is enough human involvement with hismyth and his image that the remote viewer was able to pickup sensations relating to Santa. This phenomenon undoubtedlydeserves more study. It also serves as a warning not torely unduly on raw remote viewed data.
