Chapter 8PLUG-IN ASSEMBLY CONFIGUThis chapter shows how to initially inspect, install and hardware configure each ofthe 11 plug-in assemblies for the 3497A (Options 010 through 140) and how toinspect and install the 3498A Extender (Option 298). Information is presented byassembly option number, beginning with Option 010. For each assembly, informationis divided into three parts: INTRODUCTION, INSTALLING THE ASSEMBLY andCONFIGURING THE ASSEMBLY.0 INTRODUCTION includes a description of the assembly, assemblyspecifications and applicable documentation for the assembly.0 INSTALLING THE ASSEMBLY shows how to initially inspect and in-stall the assembly in the 3497A or 3498A.0 CONFIGURING THE ASSEMBLY shows hardware settings (switchand jumper settings) to configure the assembly for various operatingmodes.Each assembly is factory-preset for specified operating conditions. In many cases,the factory settings will be appropriate for your application.
