41 8 Plug-In Assembly ConfigurationTo install the Option ROM on the 3497A Outguard Controller Board. first removeall power from the 3497A and 3498A, including LINE and voltage sources connectedto any installed option cards.Next, remove the protective cover from the rear panel of the 3497A and loosen thefastener on the Outguard Controller Board (right rear panel of the 3497A as seenfrom the rear). Then pull out the Outguard Controller using the plastic pull ring.Finally, position the circuit board assembly with the component side up and installthe Option ROM in location U12, as shown in Figure 101.
