In addition, a level change is available at the OUTPUT HlGH terminalwhen either of these two conditions occur and (if enabled), an interrupt is sentto the 3497A status register to set bit 1 (digital interrupt).If the input signal period can't be measured because the period is too long for themeasurement range selected, a counter overflow condition occurs and a level changeoutput and interrupt (when enabled) occurs. For example, if you tried to measurethe period of 1 MHz input, an overflow condition occurs since the input period exceedsthe counter limits.Pulse Width MeasurementIn pulse width measurement, the counter can measure one pulse width or average100 or 1000 pulse widths of an input signal with pulse widths which are 18 psecor wider.
