4.3 Firewalls• The customer shall conform to all local building codes and/or ordinancesaffecting the equipment location.• Combustible/non-combustible construction types are defined byrespective state building codes.At locations where the space separation is inadequate to provide fire protection, afirewall may be constructed. The firewall shall be constructed such that the heat andflame from a dynamic event are deflected away from the storage tank.The firewall shall be approved by local authorities. If a single- or three-phase transformer, padmounted piece of equipment, orpedestal is to be placed in a gated or enclosed space, the Power Company shall begranted proper access prior to installation. The customer is responsible for ensuring that all conduitsystem installations comply with Power Company requirements.During development/construction, the customer is responsible for ensuring that allsubsequent contractors in the vincinity of Power Company facilities exercise care tomaintain the integrity of the conduit system (conduit and equipment bases).
