However, low resistivitytar sands deposits are also commonlyencountered in the southern part of theNigerian tar sand belt. This is probablybecause the tar sands in this regionare water wet (Adegoke et. al, 1981),where the incorporated/impregnatedsaline water enables ionic conducion.Figure 5.
