5.0 Installation Requirements and ConsiderationsThe following sections identify the system requirements for installing and activating RTM VM/ESA.5.1 System RequirementsThis section describes the system environment required to install RTM VM/ESA.5.1.1 Programming RequirementsRTM VM/ESA is assembled on the system on which it will run. It requires HASM or HLASM (5696-234).HASM is shipped with VM/ESA Version 1. There is no assembler shipped with VM/ESA Version 2 soHLASM must be installed before installing RTM VM/ESA on VM/ESA Version 2.5.1.2 DASD Storage RequirementsRTM VM/ESA can be installed on either minidisks or SFS directories. The following is a listing of thedefault minidisks/directories required to install RTM VM/ESA. The shipped version of RTM VM/ESA is setup to install without any user modifications on the following minidisks or directories.5.1.2.1 Install on Minidisks: The following table lists the userids, minidisks and their spacerequirements.
