RTM is now fully installed and built, you can now put it into production.Post installPut RTM VM/ESA into production when testing is completed.1. Copy the RTM VM/ESA code to 5798DWDC's 401 disk (production BUILD disk for minidisk install) orto the VMSYS:RTMESA. directory (production build directory for SFS install). For minidisk install issue the following commands:ACCESS 4 E/EACCESS 41 FCOPYFILE RTM MODULE E = = F (OLDDATE REPLACENote: The RTMESA server machine links to the 401 as 191 and therefore gets access to thenew RTM module. MAINT must also re-save CMS toput the 19E (Y-disk) back in shared status.6.2 Post Installation Consideration6.2.1 Activating the ProgramExecute the following procedure to insure that RTM VM/ESA was installed properly:1. Logon to RTMESA.2. Enter RTM.This will begin execution of RTM VM/ESA.3. When RTM VM/ESA is invoked, an RTM logo will initially appear. This will verify that RTM VM/ESAwas installed correctly.30 RTM VM/ESA Program Directory
The first automatic display will occur approximately five seconds after the program is started (after the logois presented). To terminate RTM VM/ESA, enter the QUIT command. You have now completed RTMVM/ESA installation verification.6.2.2 Access to RTM VM/ESA via the VMC commandThe VMC command to access to RTM VM/ESA must be issued from a separate virtual machine. TheVMC module should be placed on a common disk such that it can be accessed by all concerned. RTMVM/ESA commands may then be executed through VMCF by entering:VMC userid commandThe userid is the user ID of the virtual machine running RTM VM/ESA (in this document, referred to asRTMESA) and command is any valid RTM VM/ESA command.The VMC module is supported in toleration mode for XA or ESA mode virtual machines. As previouslydiscussed in this chapter, the RTM module must be run in a 370 mode virtual machine.
