MAINT must also re-save CMS toput the 19E (Y-disk) back in shared status.7.2 Non-<strong>VM</strong>SES/E Service InstructionsThis section of the <strong>Program</strong> <strong>Directory</strong> contains the procedure to install CORrective service to RTM<strong>VM</strong>/<strong>ESA</strong> on <strong>VM</strong>/<strong>ESA</strong> Release 1.1.The procedure <strong>for</strong> applying non-<strong>VM</strong>SES/E service depends on how the service is packaged. Somecustomers may receive non-<strong>VM</strong>SES/E envelopes (through <strong>IBM</strong>LINK <strong>for</strong> example), while some customersmay receive a service tape with the PTFs on it. No matter how you receive your service, you shouldalways make sure that the proper files are located on the appropriate disks. You should follow theinstructions provided with the service obtained, but make sure you place the service files on theappropriate minidisks described below.7.2.1 OverviewFor non-<strong>VM</strong>SES/E envelopes, the envelopes should be unpacked and placed on a temporary minidisk.The files are then copied to the appropriate minidisks and the RTMBLD exec is invoked to rebuild theproduct.For cumulative service tapes, the tape is mounted and attached to 5798DWDC. The files on the tape areloaded to a temporary minidisk, and the product rename EXEC (called 5798DWDB) is run to rename thefiles and the files are then copied to the appropriate minidisk(s) and/or SFS directories. The RTMBLDexec is then invoked to rebuild the product.7.2.2 Installing Non-<strong>VM</strong>SES/E Service1. Define and <strong>for</strong>mat a temporary work disk to load the service on.2. Copy all of the AUXRTM5 files on the auxfile disk (2A6) or directory (<strong>VM</strong>SYS:5798DWDC.ALTAPPLY)to the backup auxfile disk (2A2) or directory (<strong>VM</strong>SYS:5798DWDC.PRDAPPLY) in case of anyproblems with newly applied service.3. Erase all of the AUXRTM5 files on the auxfile disk (2A6) or directory(<strong>VM</strong>SYS:5798DWDC.ALTAPPLY). Note that if you have any problems with the newly applied service,you can just copy all of the AUXRTM5 files from the backup disk/directory to the auxfile disk/directoryand rebuild the product with RTMBLD.4.
