6.2.4 Customizing the SystemTwo sample EXECs and one Assemble file are provided to enhance the usability and serviceability ofRTM VM/ESA:RTMINIT EXECA procedure used to initialize RTM VM/ESA from a separate virtual machinethrough the VMCF interface. This is an EXEC that is comparable to the SMINITEXEC provided for VM/RTM. It is suggested that RTMESA be autologged first byAUTOLOG1 and that this EXEC be the last command issued by AUTOLOG1.After installation and servicing, a base copy of the exec may be found on the 2C2disk. A serviced copy of the exec (RTMINIT EXCnnnnn, where nnnnn is the PTFnumber) can be found on the 2D2 disk. The latest (or a user modified) copy ofthis exec can be sent to AUTOLOG1 with the name RTMINIT EXEC.RTMINIT EXEC notes:1. The EXEC should be modified to tailor RTM VM/ESA to your installation. ThisEXEC can be used to set RTM VM/ESA parameters like: SET ULIST SET LP SET PRINT SET LOG SET VMCF SET MSG SET INTERVAL SET TMR SET MODE SET LOGMSG2. It may be necessary to increase the time that the RTMINIT exec waits for theRTMESA virtual machine to initialize. This is done by changing the CPSLEEP statement in the RTMINIT exec.3. The following link should be in AUTOLOG1's directory entry:LINK MAINT 19E 19E RRThis will allow AUTOLOG1 to access the VMC module. If RACF has beeninstalled, make sure AUTOLOG1 has the authority to link to MAINT's 19Edisk.4. Although we do not recommend that you spool the RTM machines console,adding a CP SLEEP 60 SEC and SET MODE DISPLAY will prevent all of theRTM displays from going to the console.Installation Instructions 33
