An example value is “170a3472.”HP-UXFor HP computers, FLEXnet uses the internal hostid (uname -i) converted tohexadecimal. Sonnet uses FLEXnet licensing, from Macrovision Corporation. Inearlier FLEXlm releases, the Ethernet address (lanscan) was used instead. Thus,the hostid used by other applications for the HP computers may be different thanused by Sonnet. An example is shown below with the ethernet address in bold.
