5 Understanding ProgrammingSetting Network SymbolsUse the following procedure to set network symbols.1 Right-click on the global variable table and select Insert Symbol.NoteNetwork symbols cannot be specified in the local symbol tables.2 The following New Symbol Dialog Box will be displayed.Select the Net, Variable Check Box, and then select the Publication, Input, or Output Option, andthen click the OK Button.Select the Net. VariableCheck Box, and then selecteither Publication, Input, orOutput Option.A maximum of 48 characters can be used for a network symbol name.
