6 I/O Memory Areas6-6 Special I/O <strong>Unit</strong> AreaThe Special I/O <strong>Unit</strong> Area addresses range from CIO 2000 to CIO 2959 for words and CIO 2000.00 toCIO 2959.15 for bits.Words in the Special I/O <strong>Unit</strong> Area are allocated to Special I/O <strong>Unit</strong>s for data, such as the operating statusof each <strong>Unit</strong>. Each <strong>Unit</strong> is allocated 10 words based on its <strong>Unit</strong>’s unit number setting.
