8 I/O Allocations and Unit Settings I/O Allocation Status TransitionsThe I/O allocation method will change in the following manner.Default settingAutomatic allocationDelete I/O tables usingthe CX-Programmer.I/O Allocation Status (A260): 0000 hexCreate or transfer I/O tablesusing the CX-Programmer.Manual allocationI/O Allocation Status (A260): BBBB hexWhen I/O tables are deleted using the CX-Programmer, the first word for each rack will be cleared atthe same time that the I/O allocation status returns to automatic allocation. 8 I/O Allocations and Unit Settings8-1-2 Automatic AllocationAutomatic Allocation (Default)Use this method to allocate I/O according to the status of the connected Units. I/O are allocated automatically,so operations from a Programming Device is not required.When automatic allocation is used, the I/O allocations will be updated every time the power supply tothe PLC is turned ON.To change from manual allocation to automatic allocation, delete the I/O tables using a ProgrammingDevice.The I/O are allocated to the Unitsconnected when the power supply is turned ON.Power turned ONAdditional informationUnlike with manual allocation, I/O tables are not created with automatic allocation, and so theconnected Units are not verified.Allocation MethodWith automatic allocations, I/O will be allocated for the connected Units as described in the followingtable.
