Academic Informationq The course grade is a pass or at least a 2.00 (on a 4.00 scale).q A description of course content, such as is found in the college catalog orcourse syllabus, has been provided for the purpose of determining whetherthe course will be accepted in transfer.q The Petition for Transfer of Credit form has been submitted to the GraduateSchool prior to admission to a graduate program.Academic Progress, Probation, andDismissal1. Academic WarningStudents are given an academic warning any time their cumulative GPA is below3.00 overall and/or below 3.00 in their major.2. Academic ProbationStudents are placed on academic probation when their GPA is below 3.00 overalland/or below 3.00 in their major at the end of an academic term. A student maynot remain in the program on academic probation for more than two semesters.3. Academic DismissalThe following students will be subject to academic dismissal:a. Students who have not achieved a 3.00 GPA overall and a 3.00 in their majorafter two semesters of academic probation;b. Provisionally admitted students who do not meet the requirements of theirprovisional acceptance;c. Students who do not meet the stipulations set at the time of being placed onacademic probation.Patterns of poor performance not listed above may also lead to academic dismissal.Academic warning and academic probation do not always precede academicdismissal.4. AppealsStudent appeals of academic decisions of the registrar must be filed according tothe Graduate School Academic Appeals Process policy. Academic Appeal form isavailable at blink.bethel.edu.
