Academic Programs and DisciplinesProgram Design• The program is designed to be completed in two academic years of full-timestudy or three academic years of part-time study with a scheduled break forpart of each summer.• Classes meet one or two evenings each week, depending on full-time or parttimestatus.• A 700-hour practicum is required during the final year.• A supportive learning community is achieved through the cohort model—asmall group of learners progressing through a degree program together.• Two cohorts begin each academic year in August.CoursesThe required curriculum for the M.A. in Counseling Psychology comprises a 48–51semester credit sequence of courses.
