While <strong>Dell</strong>'s workforce located both insideand outside the United States increased during fiscal 2006,the proportion of <strong>Dell</strong>'s workforce located outside the UnitedStates increased due to a number of factors, including <strong>Dell</strong>'srapid international growth.<strong>Dell</strong>, a Delaware corporation, was founded in 1984 by Michael<strong>Dell</strong> on a simple concept: by selling computer systems directlyto customers, <strong>Dell</strong> could best understand their needs andefficiently provide the most effective computing solutions tomeet those needs.
