Definition: Heave % Amplitude is an additional heave st<strong>and</strong>ard<br />

deviation component that is the percentage of the<br />

instantaneous heave.<br />

Heave<br />

Error: 0.05<br />

Definition: Heave is the measurement <strong>for</strong> st<strong>and</strong>ard deviation of the heave<br />

data in meters.<br />

Discussion: The POS/MV heave error is given as 0.05 meters + 5% of<br />

heave; however, the Caris error model<br />

implementation uses Heave or Heave % Amplitude,<br />
