imaging patterns.
2. To correlate these features with corresponding histopathological changes and with other imaging modalities,
including CT imaging and bone scintigraphy.

disorders (disc disease, intravertebral disc herniation), (micro-)trauma, tumors.
2. To highlight the semiological clues for an accurate diagnosis (location, extension, associated disorders to
look for (soft tissues, other joints).
3. To understand the role and limitations of MRI in this area, and the contribution provided by other imaging
modalities.
