angiogenesis.
2. To outline the mechanisms and potential imaging targets in the angiogenic process.
3. To review the functional imaging tools available for imaging angiogenesis.
4. To review the new emerging tools for molecular imaging of angiogenesis: Targeted contrast agents,
imaging markers for gene expression and enzymatic activity and tracking recruitment of vascular cells,
imaging markers for response to antiangiogenic and vascular targeted therapy.
