Restaurant at the Austria Center Vienna<br />

Besides the availability of hot and cold snacks in<br />

the various foyer cafés and coffee shops as listed<br />

under ‘Coffee’ in this section of the programme,<br />

a restaurant offering a buffet lunch is available in<br />

the foyer C on the 2 nd level of the Austria Center<br />

Our staff at the ‘Congress Dining & Shopping’ Desk<br />

will be pleased to recommend to you places to eat<br />

situated close to your hotel or to a certain theatre<br />

and will be happy to reserve a table of your choice.<br />

Satellite Symposia<br />

Industrial satellite symposia (see pages 129-134)<br />

have been organised by international companies.<br />

Attendance at these symposia will also be certified<br />

– on condition that the relevant evaluation form has<br />

been received by the organisation duly completed.<br />

Attendance places will be allocated on a first-come,<br />

first-served basis.<br />

Scientific Exhibition – EPOS<br />

In the course of ECR 2007, EPOS, the Electronic<br />

Presentation Online System, has grown by around<br />

another 930 electronic presentations. A total of 873<br />

posters were accepted for presentation in EPOS<br />

(472 scientific exhibits and 401 educational exhibits).<br />

Additional 103 presentations have been submitted<br />

by speakers of the educational/scientific programme.<br />

170 computer workstations are available.<br />

ECR Information from A – Z<br />

Besides EURORAD, the largest peer-reviewed<br />

database of radiology teaching files on the Internet,<br />

the Cases-of-the-Day, the Image Interpretation<br />

Cases as well as the Self-Assessment in Cardiac<br />

Radiology are also available in EPOS (see pages<br />

76-77).<br />

During ECR 2007, EPOS is located in Expo D on<br />

the lower level.<br />

Note: On Saturday, March 10, 12:15–13:15,<br />

EPOS will be closed for a self assessment test for<br />

the participants of the foundation course on cardiac<br />

radiology.<br />

Scientific Presentation Prizes<br />

The authors of the best scientific papers and<br />

scientific/educational exhibits will be awarded a prize<br />

of € 1,500.–.<br />

Scientific Papers: The prize will be assigned to the<br />

best paper presentation of each topic based on the<br />

evaluation by session moderators and subcommittee<br />

members. Selection criteria will comprise quality<br />

of presentation and images, scientific content and<br />

overall impression of the performance.<br />

The prize winners will be informed after the Congress<br />

and will be published on the ESR website and in the<br />

ESR Newsletter. ECR 2008 registration fees will be<br />

waived for the presenters.<br />
