ECR Information from A – Z<br />

The EAR General Assembly will be held on Monday,<br />

March 12, from 16:00–18:00 in Room C. Each EAR<br />

Member Society was invited to attend the meeting<br />

with a delegation of up to three persons including<br />

ideally the President and members of the Executive<br />

Committee. Only pre-registered delegates are thus<br />

allowed to participate. There will be a cocktail<br />

reception afterwards with all delegates to the EAR<br />

General Assembly from 18:00–18:45 in Foyer B.<br />

‘Hands-on’ Workshops<br />

The following ‘Hands-on’ Workshops are presented<br />

at ECR 2007:<br />

– Image Guided Breast Biopsy: How to do it<br />

– Experience Vascular Procedures Using<br />

Simulators<br />

– Tips and Tricks in Radiofrequency Ablation<br />

– Dancing with Workstations<br />

The number of participants of each workshop is<br />

restricted. Please refer to pages 123-128 for the<br />

workshops’ programmes.<br />

Hospital Manager Symposium<br />

Do not miss out on the 4th edition of the Hospital<br />

Manager Symposium to be held on Saturday, March<br />

10, on hot topics related to ‘Management, IT<br />

and finance for hospitals and radiologists’. The<br />

symposium is presented and organised by ECR and<br />

European Hospital.<br />

Interactive Teaching Sessions<br />

(E³ – European Excellence in Education)<br />

The sessions on ‘Musculoskeletal lesions: Mistakes<br />

you shouldn’t make’ and ‘BI-RADS – Training in<br />

breast imaging’ are repeated from ECR 2006.<br />

The following new topics will be introduced: ‘Traps<br />

in imaging of cirrhosis and portal hypertension’,<br />

‘Prostate cancer’, ‘Classifying breast lesions’, ‘The<br />

imaging management of lung cancer’ and ‘How to do<br />

a successful presentation: From abstract to slide<br />

show’ (simultaneous translation from English to<br />

Chinese for this session).<br />

The material will be presented in an interactive way<br />

with audience participation and self assessment by<br />

use of an electronic voting system (key-pads).<br />

Attendance places will be allocated on a first-come,<br />

first-served basis. Please refer to pages 115 for the<br />

programme of the sessions.<br />

Internet Points<br />

Computer terminals with internet connection are<br />

available on the 1 st level and can be used for multiple<br />

purposes. Delegates can compile their personal<br />

session itineraries using the programme planner,<br />

send emails and browse through the www.<br />

ECR’s popular high-tech specialty exhibit is back. On<br />
