1. To demonstrate the patterns of ischaemia encountered and to correlate with the duration and intensity of<br />

hypoxia.<br />

2. To correlate acute ultrasound fi ndings with those seen on diffusion weighted MRI and T1/T2 weighted<br />

MRI.<br />

3. To compare imaging fi ndings in the neonatal period with follow-up imaging studies and<br />

neuropsychological outcome at two years.<br />
