K-FLEX CLAD ® AL TECHNICAL INFORMATIONMade in USAContains a ProtectiveAntimicrobial AgentDESCRIPTIONK-FLEX Clad ® AL, available in tube or sheetform, is a composite product comprised ofclosed cell elastomeric insulation adheredto a plastic sheet laminated to aluminumfoil.K-FLEX Clad ® AL is fiber-free, non-porous,CFC- and HCFC-free. K-FLEX Clad ® AL isGreenGuard ® certified as a low VOC material,meeting the requirements of the “IndoorAir Quality” classification. These characteristicsallow it to comply with Health, Safetyand Environmental requirements.K-FLEX Clad ® AL tubes are available in1/2”, 1” and 1-1/2” wall thicknesses in3 foot lengths. Sheet product is availablein 36” x 48” dimensions or 48” widerolls up to 2” thick. Sheets and rolls up to1-1/2” thick are available with an aggressivepressure sensitive adhesive (PSA)with fiberglass scrim reinforcement anda moisture/tear resistance polyolefin easyrelease liner.The plastic / aluminum cladding providesa secondary moisture vapor barrier to theinherently moisture-resistant closed cellfoam core.APPLICATIONSK-FLEX Clad ® AL is an ideal choice foroutdoor applications (roof top), foodprocessing plants, pharmaceutical facilities,film processing, electronics and otherclean room applications subject to codecompliance. K-FIT ® factory-fabricatedfittings and Clad ® AL Covers complete theinstallation.The cladding provides weather and abuseresistance, as well as protection from UVrays. The smooth shiny surface is easy toclean, dust-free, resistant to acids, alkali,salts, oil, fats, and aliphatic hydrocarbons,and is highly impermeable to gases andmoisture. Cladding does not dent liketraditional metal jackets, has excellentappearance and is easy to maintain. TheK-FLEX Clad ® AL system allows for quickand easy replacement if necessary.Standard K-FLEX Clad ® AL can be usedwithin a wide range of temperatures from-297°F to +220°F.
