Thissection specifies how control information is included in these URIs.12.2.1 Filter ValuesFilter values are only available when the EPC bank contains a valid EPC, and only thenwhen the EPC is an EPC scheme other than GID. In the EPC Tag URI, the filter value isindicated as an additional field following the scheme name and preceding the remainderof the EPC, as illustrated below:EPC Pure Identity URIurn:epc:id:sgtin:0614141.112345.400Filter value184118421843184418451846184718481849185018511852185318541855185618571858EPC Tag URI urn:epc:tag:sgtin-96:3.0614141.112345.400Figure 18.Illustration of Filter Value Within EPC Tag URIThe filter value is a decimal integer. The allowed values of the filter value are specifiedin Section 10.12.2.2 Other Control Information FieldsControl information in the EPC bank apart from the filter values is stored separately fromthe EPC. Such information can be represented both in the EPC Tag URI and the EPCRaw URI, using the name-value pair syntax described below. In both URI forms, control field name-value pairs may occur following theurn:epc:tag: or urn:epc:raw:, as illustrated below:urn:epc:tag:[att=x01][xpc=x0004]:sgtin-96:3.0614141.112345.400urn:epc:raw:[att=x01][xpc=x0004]:96.x012345689ABCDEF01234567Each element in square brackets specifies the value of one control information field. Anomitted field is equivalent to specifying a value of zero. As a limiting case, if no controlinformation fields are specified in the URI it is equivalent to specifying a value of zerofor all fields. This provides back-compatibility with earlier versions of the Tag DataStandard. The available control information fields are specified in the following table.Copyright ©2005- 2011 GS1 AISBL, All Rights Reserved.
