14Recording and Playback14.2.3 Access to the Recorded Files through FTPServerThe built-in FTP Server allows you to download the recorded files saved onthe memory card. You can play back the downloaded files of AVI formatwith Media Player. For details to download files, see [Act as FTP Server],13.3.2 FTP.Note: To play back videos, ensure you have installed Geovision codecon the computer. The codec is available on the software CD. If you haveinstalled the Remote Playback player on the computer, it is not requiredto install the codec.14.2.4 Playback of Daylight Saving Time EventsOn GV-System, you can retrieve the events recorded during the DaylightSaving Time (DST) period from the GV-IPCAM H.264 for playback. Youcan also connect the memory card to GV-System for playback.The following instructions describe how to retrieve the recorded files fromthe GV-IPCAM H.264 over network. If you like to use the memory card forplayback, first follow the instructions in 14.2.1 Playback Using the MemoryCard to load the recorded files to ViewLog, and then follow Steps 4-5below to play back DST events.1. The camera must allow the remote access with ViewLog Serveractivated. See 13.3.7 ViewLog Server.269
