16 DVR Configurations16.1.1 Customizing IP Camera SettingsAfter the IP camera is connected and assigned with a display position, youcan configure the camera’s settings such as frame rate, codec type andresolution. Right-click the desired camera to see the following list of options:Figure 16-6• Change Resolution: Changes the display ratio, live view resolutionand record resolution• Network Time Out: When network disconnection exceeds thespecified time period, the camera status will be displayed asConnection Lost.• Change Live View Codec: Changes the live view codec.• Change Record Codec: Changes the recording codec.• Live-view frame rate control (Sub stream): Sets the live view framerate of the sub stream to help reduce the CPU usage. If you have setthe live view codec to be JPEG, select the number of frames to allowin a second. If the live view codec selected is MPEG4 or <strong>H.264</strong>, selectone of the following options: Maximum Live-view Frame Rate: View the video at themaximum frame rate possible.306
