Steven Zissis manages Babcock & Brown Aircraft Management. He joined Babcock & Brown in 1990. Prior to
joining Babcock & Brown, Steven was a Vice President of Citibank, where he was also a founder and manager of
the Portfolio Acquisition and Divestiture team. Steven graduated with a B.A. in Finance and International Studies
from Rhodes College. He is based in the San Francisco office.
4.3 OTHER SENIOR MANAGEMENT
In addition to the members of the Executive Committee a number of other Key Executives have been designated
as managers of some of the Business Units referred to in the organisational chart in Section 3.
Michael Garland manages the US Infrastructure and Project Finance team. He joined Babcock & Brown in
1986. Prior to joining Babcock & Brown, Michael was Director of the State of California Energy Assessments
Office where he was responsible for the implementation of the state government’s environmental and energy
policies. Michael also coordinated and oversaw the design, construction, financing, and operation of California
State energy facilities. Michael is a graduate of the University of California at Berkeley. He is based in the
San Francisco office.
Michael Herman manages Babcock & Brown Electronics Management. He joined Babcock & Brown in 2002.
Prior to joining Babcock & Brown, Michael was President of Comdisco’s leasing division and before that he was
General Manager and National Sales Manager of GE Capital’s Commercial Equipment Finance group. Prior to
that, Michael was EVP National Sales & Marketing manager for Equitable Life Leasing and Equitable Loans
Leasing. Michael is a graduate of Arizona State University where he earned his degree in finance and economics
with a minor in business law. He is based in the San Diego office.
Ted Lachowicz manages the US Structured Finance team. He joined Babcock & Brown in 1994. Prior to joining
Babcock & Brown,Ted was a Managing Director of D’Accord Financial Services and prior to that he held
management positions at Ryder Truck Rental, Peat Marwick Mitchell and Westinghouse Corporation.Ted holds
aB.S. in accounting from Syracuse University and is a Certified Public Accountant. He is based in the San
Francisco office.
Willy C. M. Lim manages the Asian Infrastructure and Project Finance team. He joined Babcock & Brown in 2001.
Prior to joining Babcock & Brown,Willy was a partner and Managing Director of Fieldstone Private Capital Group
with responsibility for managing the Group’s operations in Asia.Willy has an economics degree from the University
of Malaya in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He splits his time between our Hong Kong and Kuala Lumpur offices.
Antonino Lo Bianco manages the European Infrastructure and Project Finance team. He joined Babcock &
Brown in 1993. Prior to joining Babcock & Brown, Antonino worked with Nomura International plc as a
member of its Italian Corporate Finance Group. Antonino is a graduate in Business Administration from Bocconi
University in Milan. He is based in the Milan office.
Eric Lucas manages the Japanese Real Estate team. He joined Babcock & Brown in 1987. Prior to joining
Babcock & Brown, Eric worked in Tokyo at the international law firm of Anderson Mori and Rabinowitz.
In 1987, he joined Babcock & Brown at its Japanese joint venture, Nomura Babcock & Brown, where he worked
as its representative until 1992. After several years in the San Francisco office of Babcock & Brown, in 1998 Eric
returned to Tokyo to establish Babcock & Brown’s Japanese office. Eric received his law degree from the
University of Melbourne in Australia. He currently splits his time largely between the Tokyo and Sydney offices.
Paul Marini manages Aerospace Finance Leasing team. He joined Babcock & Brown in 1990. Prior to joining
Babcock & Brown, Paul was a Managing Director at Lehman Brothers and was primarily responsible for the
firm’s airline and asset finance activities. Paul received his B.A. in Economics from Santa Clara University and his
M.B.A. from the University of California at Berkeley. He is based in the Greenwich office.
Victoria McManus manages Babcock & Brown Rail Management. She joined Babcock & Brown in 1999. Prior
to joining Babcock & Brown,Victoria headed the Rail Division of The CIT Group, which specialised in rail
equipment finance and operating leasing. Prior to that,Victoria specialised in cross-border leasing of aircraft.
Victoria is a graduate of Brooklyn College in New York. She is based in the New York office.
Karl Oberrauch manages Italian Special Products and the Italian Real Estate team. Karl joined Babcock & Brown
in 1993. Prior to joining Babcock & Brown, Karl was an Executive Director at Nomura International plc where
he managed the Italian Corporate Finance Group. Karl is a graduate of the Columbia Business School and is a
Chartered Accountant in Italy. He is based in the Milan office.
