those living in Lleida and Barcelona (39.4% and 39.3% respectively)<br />

As highlighted in Figure 13, 63.8% <strong>of</strong> the economists think that the<br />

existence <strong>of</strong> a Catalan State would speed up improvement <strong>of</strong> the Catalan<br />

production model, while 31.5% think it would not. 4.7% express<br />

no opinion. <strong>The</strong> idea that a Catalan State will benefit the Catalan<br />

production model predominates in all groups, especially employees<br />

and pensioners (66.9 and 66.0%, respectively) and those living in Girona<br />

(82.5%). On the other hand, business people and/or self-employed<br />

(35.4%) and members located in Barcelona (34.0%) are the<br />

most critical.<br />
