Maritimes Operations<br />
MRDC - Maritime Road Development Corp - Fredericton, NB<br />
During the 2014 season, MRDC was proud to announce and enter into a unique three (3) year paving contract <strong>with</strong> MacDonald<br />
Paving & Construction Ltd. This contract is scheduled to be administered over the 2014, <strong>2015</strong>, and 2016 paving season and covers<br />
the eastern part of MRDC`s highway facility.<br />
Work during the 2014 season consisted of hot mix asphalt (Type D surface mix, PG 58-28) supplied and placed by MacDonald<br />
Paving crew and asphalt was milled by ICM. ICM is contracted to reinstate rumble strips throughout the facility.<br />
Southeastern United States Operations - Atlanta GA<br />
The Miller Group U.S. covers a vast market area that encompasses 7 states: Alabama, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina,<br />
Tennessee, and Mississippi. This area is approximately 343,120 square miles (888,677 square kilometers), <strong>with</strong> a population of<br />
56.7 million. In comparison the Province of Ontario is 415,600 square miles (1,076,399 square kilometers) <strong>with</strong> a population of 13.6<br />
million. To monitor and track this market for available cold planing, reclaiming, and stabilization is quite a task <strong>with</strong> not only the<br />
states’ D.O.T.’s but also local municipalities and county governments.<br />
Thankfully, The Miller Group has built a reputation <strong>with</strong> its clients over the last 28 years to keep everyone informed of projects<br />
which we can be of service. This reputation has been built <strong>with</strong> the loyal, dedicated employees that have an average length of<br />
employment <strong>with</strong> Miller of 11.6 years. These employees have made numerous personal sacrifices, most importantly the extended<br />
time away from home and families to ensure projects were completed on time, in budget and the customers were completely<br />
satisfied. This work consists of hourly/daily projects to massive interstate total removal/micro-milling to large (20 miles) full depth<br />
reclamation to small parking lot/private projects.<br />
Volume of business improved over prior years by almost 50% and the Miller dedicated professionals performed this work <strong>with</strong>out<br />
a single employee personal injury or vehicle accident. This is an achievement that is a true indicator of professionalism and an<br />
accomplishment that all are most proud.<br />

representative reported that in this first year of the three<br />
year contract, the paving operations were performed effectively<br />
and efficiently. This year’s success was largely due<br />
to MacDonald`s Paving field manager, Mr. Jamie Perrin,<br />
who always maintained a very professional manner and<br />
got along well <strong>with</strong> all personnel, this trait and attitude<br />
produced excellent results.<br />
