I wanted to mention how great Jeff and Mike the driver’s with
your Miller Group are. When I approached them they were
very professional and eager to help. It’s great to know that
we can all work together to make things happen. This is what
it’s all about.
Kudos to them and you as well!!!
Mike I should also mention that a couple of weeks ago they
brought in a cell phone/wallet they found on the side of the
highway. My staff worked diligently to find its owner and when
we were finally in contact with him he was in tears that it had
been found and brought to us. All of his ID and credit cards
were intact and he was extremely grateful. He had gone to
the police to report it stolen just as we called to report we
had found it. This is a great service your Miller Group does
taking care of our highways and ensuring lost items get to
their owners. They should be recognized for their wonderful
efforts.

Just a quick note to say thanks! The crews did a fantastic job
doing our surface treatment job.
I want to pay special attention to the soft skills of your crew.
Last evening around 6 pm - my 6 year old son was playing
outside at my house, and every single one of your staff waved
or gave a honk on the horn as they traveled past and seen a kid
playing - none of them knew it was my house.
Dave Jenkins, the Lead Hand, was great to work with as well
and helped me through my first Geo-Textile project / test.
In conclusion, I am happy with the work and what the crew did
for us - thanks!

To Sue Bianco,
My car, a VW Cabrio, broke down on the Sea to Sky highway a
few KMs north of Horseshoe Bay (southbound) on Saturday at
about 3.15pm. The situation was quite frightening with cars
(and bikes) coming at us in two lanes at high speed. We called
BCCA and they estimated 60 to 90 minutes for recovery and
we tried to give hand signal warnings to oncoming traffic. Your
operatives Steve Foreman and Jesse Hopkins arrived on scene,
did a quick loop to approach from upstream and protected us
with their truck and flashing yellow arrow until BCCA arrived
and got us under tow. We are extremely grateful for their help
and advice and are certain that their action contributed to a
safe outcome.

I just wanted to pass on a note to the amazing man who
collects our recycling. We live on Highview Cres and have
had a new recycling man for the past few weeks. He has
been amazing. I am an independent childcare provider
and my house has several young children who love trucks.
Garbage day has always been an exciting day for us as we
await the arrival of the trucks. This man however has made
garbage day so much better! He smiles and waves at my
kids but also takes the extra time to dump the recycling in
front of our house - even when it’s not full. He makes their
day every time!
We live in a society where the little things aren’t appreciated.
Someone can go out of their way to do a nice act and
we acknowledge it maybe with a smile. I wanted this man to
know how much we appreciate his hard work and the care
he has for the little faces in the window. 2 year olds are so
amazed at little things in life and this is one of them. Seeing
the truck and talking about how it works with them has been
an amazing learning experience and I am thankful for the
opportunity.
Please pass on my thanks and appreciation to this driver.

their crews have delivered tremendous workmanship on every
section of both contracts.
It has been a pleasure to again work with a Contractor that has

created by your field staff.

This morning at about 6:30am I was at the lights
of Garibaldi Way and Hwy 99. I spotted a Miller
Capilano worker on his way to work, pull over,
hop out of his truck and pick up a brick off the
roadway. He was completely safe and wearing
his safety vest. You have got a great group of
dedicated workers, and pulling over on his way
to work definitely goes above and beyond!

Hi Leo,
I wanted to take a minute to thank you and thw whole
team at MSO for the excellent work they did in dealing
with the storn Sunday & Monday (Feb 1 &2). In particular
Dave Metcalfe did a stellar job, put in many house, great
effort and achieved excellent results. I was very happy
with the condition of the road throughout the event.
Given the relatively light winter conditions we have had,
it is good to see we have not forgotten how to deal with
a winter event.

Our Green Council, consisting of Board members and fellow residents,
has continually strived to make Market Square environmentally
friendly and energy efficient. In the wake of the Garbage Levy
and the impending Green Bin program, their attention turned to
recycling.
In February 2008, the Market Square condominium complex, comprised
of 306 units and seven floors, contracted Waste Solutions
Group Inc. (WSG) to retrofit three TriSorter Recycling Systems. After
a competitive four-month selection process, WSG was the most
capable, had the fairest cost, and held the best reputation.
We are happy to report that since the installations, residents have
eagerly participated and recycling rates have increased over 30°.
Further, WSG’s industry knowledge has helped the Boards foresee
waste, recycling, and organics collection trends and City policies.
I would recommend MWSG to other buildings looking to retrofit and
to make the building as environmentally friendly (“green”) as ours.
