Sarah explains that her passion for interiors
started when she helped her uncle sell sofas from
his barn in Chediston whilst at the same time
renovating her and her husband’s family home.
“In a way we were lucky as we didn’t own a scrap
of furniture when we started the house so we
could start to furnish it from scratch, it is still a
work in progress but it is coming together”.
As well as running the shop, Sarah also
undertakes full house furnishings and conducts
interior design services. “I’ve designed a few
show houses which is great fun, and I really love
helping others create a beautiful home. There
is so much more to the small shop than meets
the eye, for instance we can supply freestanding
kitchens, headboards and complete beds, sofas,
armchairs as well as designing curtains, blinds
and window dressings.”
Ask the expert?
I am trying to create an autumn themed room at
home, what advice would you give me to help me
come up with some inspired ideas?
Personally, I would keep the walls neutral but
add in the autumn colours with soft furnishings,
throws, cushions etc and use some of the
fabulous coloured autumn leaves in frames.
That way if you tire of the theme you can easily
change it without the hassle of re-painting the
entire room again.
