Looking for an extra stylish take on a
classic hairstyle for the party season?
(LEFT) THE ROMANTIC UP-DO
Inspired by red-carpet glamour, we love this
take on the ponytail created by stylist Leah
Miles from Zappas, Fleet. It’s easily worked
into hair that’s been washed the day before
so perfect if you’re getting ready in a rush.
Check out the step-by-steps below, created
in association with Your Hair Magazine, and
get started recreating the party hairstyle at
home.
Step 1. Prep the hair with L’Oréal
Professionnel tecni art volume lift for added
body.
Step 2. Split the hair into two, a top section
and a back section. Pull the back section
into a ponytail. Backcomb the back section.
Pull the back section into a ponytail.
Backcomb the top section for lots of
volume.
Step 3. Push the hair back and pin the top
section in place.
Step 4. Hold the look in place with L’Oréal
Professionnel tecni art fix design.
(RIGHT) CURLY PIN UP
Turn up the glamour this party season
with this elegant half-up hairstyle from Cat
Nicholson at Charlie Miller, Edinburgh Ocean
Terminal. This gorgeous style is full of strong
styling techniques- height at the crown,
sleekness at the sides and volume through
the mid-lengths and ends.
Clever structuring adds a dramatic element
so you’ll be sure to make a statement.
Perfect for both long hair and short hair, Cat
says “this style is incredibly adaptable. You
can just slick back the sides if your hair is
short, or secure your hair into a ponytail or
bun if you have long hair”. Follow her stepby-steps
below, created in association with
Your Hair magazine, to recreate this party
hairstyle.
Step 1. Generously apply L’Oréal
Professionnel tecni art pli all over the hair,
then loosely tong.
Step 2. Split the hair into two sections. Keep
the top section out of the way and tie the
rest into a ponytail.
Step 3. Backcomb the top section to create
fullness throughout the crown. Smooth the
hair back gently using your hands, then pin
it onto the top of the original ponytail.
Step 4. Puff texture dust onto the ponytail
and backcomb to give a tousled look.
Have fun guys.
