FASHION
experiment with some different styles. Why
not go for that tortoise shell pair you’ve had
your eye on?
LIPS
The part of your face most likely to feel
the effects of the colder weather. Chapped
lips are nobody’s friend so make sure
you’ve got a quality lip balm to hand (yes
gentlemen, you too). Remember to keep
drinking plenty of water too.
HAIR
Nothing escapes the bitter cold and wind
unscathed. Your hair can become dry
and lifeless in the winter months. You can
reduce this by keeping it covered. There
are some great chunky knit hats on the
high-street this year. And yes, bobbles are
encouraged. If you’re worried about “hat
hair” ruining your look then opt for a coat,
jacket or form of knitwear with a large hood
or collar. There are some great faux-fur and
shearling numbers to be found this year.
SKIN
Speaking of UV rays, ensure you’re
thoroughly protected by getting your hands
on a moisturiser that has a built in SPF factor.
Over exposure to the sun is the number one
cause of ageing skin. As the weather becomes
more aggressive you might find that your skin
becomes tight and dry. If that’s the case consider
switching to a more intensive product until Spring
rolls around.
As for the rest of your body, be sure to find
fabrics that are going to easy on your skin.
Knitwear especially can irritate your skin so make
sure you’ve got some vests and tees to wear
underneath.
