8. God the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit
John 1:1 "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with
God, and the Word was God."
John 1:14 "The Word became flesh and made his dwelling
among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and
Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth."
John 1:18 "No one has ever seen God, but God the One and
Only, who is at the Father's side, has made him known." The
Bible says "God the One and Only" in NIV.
John 5:21 "For just as the Father raises the dead and gives them
life, even so the Son gives life to whom he is pleased to give it."
John 8:23–24: "But he continued,'You are from below; I am from
above. You are of this world; I am not of this world. I told you that
you would die in your sins; if you do not believe that I am [the
one I claim to be], you will indeed die in your sins.'"
John 8:58-59 "I tell you the truth," Jesus answered, "before
Abraham was born, I am!" So they took up stones to throw at
him; but Jesus hid himself, and went out of the temple.
John 10:30-33: "I and the Father are one." The Jews took up
stones again to stone him. Jesus answered them, "I have shown
you many good works from the Father; for which of these do you
stone me?" The Jews answered him, "It is not for a good work
that we stone you but for blasphemy; because you, being a
man, make yourself God."
John 10:38: "But if I do it, even though you do not believe me,
believe the miracles, that you may know and understand that the
Father is in me, and I in the Father."
John 12:41: "Isaiah said this because he saw Jesus' glory and
spoke about him." Indicates that Tetragrammaton in Isaiah 6:10
refers to Jesus.
John 20:28: "Thomas said to him, 'My Lord and my God!'"
