6. The Anger of the Lord
said to Moses, "Come up to me on the mountain and stay here,
and I will give you the tablets of stone, with the law and
commands I have written for their instruction."
7. Moses sees the Back of God.
Ex 33:18-23 Then Moses said, "Now show me your glory." And
the LORD said, "I will cause all my goodness to pass in front of
you, and I will proclaim my name, the LORD, in your presence. I
will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have
compassion on whom I will have compassion. But," he said, "you
cannot see my face, for no one may see me and live." Then the
LORD said, "There is a place near me where you may stand on
a rock. When my glory passes by, I will put you in a cleft in the
rock and cover you with my hand until I have passed by. Then I
will remove my hand and you will see my back; but my face must
not be seen."
8. Angel of God in the Pillar of Cloud
Ex 14:18-19 The Egyptians will know that I am the LORD when I
gain glory through Pharaoh, his chariots and his horsemen."
Then the angel of God, who had been traveling in front of Israel's
army, withdrew and went behind them. The pillar of cloud also
moved from in front and stood behind them,
The Angel of the Lord was in the pillar of cloud guiding the
Israelites through the wilderness. This Angel says "I am the
Lord".
