4. Jewish Mystical <strong>Understanding</strong><br />
the Crown, God evolves through time and reveals in ten forms in<br />
all dimensions <strong>of</strong> existence.<br />
Ten Sefirot correspond to ten levels <strong>of</strong> creation. These levels <strong>of</strong><br />
creation must not be understood as ten different "gods" but as<br />
ten different ways <strong>of</strong> revealing <strong>of</strong> God, one per level. It is not God<br />
who changes but the ability to understand by his creation that<br />
changes.<br />
The Four Worlds<br />
In the kabbalah there are four main worlds (dimensions <strong>of</strong><br />
existence) God has created;<br />
1) Azilut –The World <strong>of</strong> Emanation<br />
2) Yitzirah – The World <strong>of</strong> Creation<br />
3) Beriyah – The World <strong>of</strong> Formation<br />
4) Asiyah – The World <strong>of</strong> Action (or Making), the world as we<br />
know it, the physical universe<br />
All four worlds are seen as emerging in the empty space or<br />
vacuum created by the contraction <strong>of</strong> Godhead to provide space<br />
<strong>of</strong> creation each teeming with sentient beings. God contracted<br />
his infinite essence in order to allow for a conceptual space in<br />
which a finite, independent world could exist.<br />
The ten emanations – sefiroth<br />
