COVENANT CEREMONY : FIRE AND SMOKE<br />
Covenant ceremonies are always interesting because <strong>of</strong> the<br />
necesity <strong>of</strong> the real presence. In this sealing <strong>of</strong> the covenant<br />
there is an appearance <strong>of</strong> God.<br />
17 when the sun had set and darkness had fallen, a smoking<br />
firepot with a blazing torch appeared and passed between the<br />
pieces. 18 On that day the LORD made a covenant with Abram<br />
and said, "To your descendants I give this land, from the river <strong>of</strong><br />
Egypt to the great river, the Euphrates—<br />
This appearance is like a smoking firepot with blazing torch - fire<br />
and light.<br />
TWO ANGELS AND GOD - IN HUMAN FORM?<br />
18:1 The LORD appeared to Abraham near the great trees <strong>of</strong><br />
Mamre while he was sitting at the entrance to his tent in the heat<br />
<strong>of</strong> the day. 2Abraham looked up and saw three men standing<br />
nearby. When he saw them, he hurried from the entrance <strong>of</strong> his<br />
