FLOHMARKT AM MAUERPARK
Why:
This market has been around since 2004. It
may be a newbie compared to some of the
markets listed here but it will still leave you
satisfied if you're on a thrifty trinket hunt.
Source items to spice up the wardrobe or
home and this includes retro threads, local
designer T-shirts, shoes, vintage vinyl and
offbeat stuff. If you're hungry from all that
neck-craning and price-haggling, grab a curry
bratwurst and refuel yourself :)
Where: Bernauer Strasse, Berlin, Germany
When: Sunday, 9am-6pm
HELL’S KITCHEN FLEA MARKET
Why:
If patience is something you lack, flea markets in
general might not be a good option to purchase
items because flea markets require a little more
effort and strength especially in digging and
negotiating the final price on your desired item. At
this market, you will find that furniture, vintage
clothing, jewellery and retro decorative items are
negotiable. Worth the effort if you don't want to
break the bank.
Where: West 39th Street between 9th & 10th Avenues, New
York, USA
When: Saturday and Sunday, 9am-5pm
MERCAT DE LA BOQUERIA
Why:
La Boqueria has become the most emblematic
of all Barcelona’s markets, having been born
from a travelling market. Today, the structure,
the situation and atmosphere make it a mustsee
for many tourists. It is an impressive,
colourful market with fruit and vegetable
stands, tapas bars and Spain's Catalan cuisine.
Where: La Rambla, Barcelona, Spain
When: Monday to Saturday, 8am-8:30pm
