Having determined that the second listener is the problem, the DBA first tries <strong>to</strong> shut<br />

down the listeners gracefully. When that fails, he uses the Unix command. The situation<br />

returns <strong>to</strong> normal as soon as the second listener is terminated. The DBA promises <strong>to</strong><br />

research what caused the second listener <strong>to</strong> be started and why nobody was able <strong>to</strong> connect<br />
