one that I would recommend.

This book predates Oracle Database 9i and is fairly out-of- date but is one of only
a very small handful of books devoted exclusively to the subject of tuning SQL for
Oracle databases. Despite its lack of coverage of the latest techniques, it is an excellent
work and recommended reading for serious students.
