The tables and indexes will have to be rebuilt to reclaim space—several methods are
available for the purpose. Tables and indexes that have a lot of wasted space are automatically
identified by the Automatic Segment Advisor, which runs automatically during the
nightly maintenance window; sample results are shown in Figure 14-1.

Alternatively, you can conduct your own investigation of wasted space, using the
procedure. Listing 14-1 shows a sample run; we see that 1161 blocks are
empty.
