Note that the Flashback <strong>Database</strong> technique depends on a special type of log file<br />

called a flashback log. The retention of information in flashback logs is governed by the<br />

<strong>Oracle</strong> parameter . Also, the database administra<strong>to</strong>r must<br />

explicitly enable logging by using the command before<br />

opening the database.<br />

LogMiner<br />

You can also recover prior versions of data from the archived redo logs by using a utility<br />

called LogMiner, as illustrated in Listing 13-2. LogMiner has the capability <strong>to</strong> construct<br />

undo SQL that you can use <strong>to</strong> selectively reverse changes <strong>to</strong> your data.<br />
