Sessions panel represents the users who are using the database.<br />

Host panel represents the host computer of the database.<br />

Server Processes panel represents the computer processes on the host computer<br />

that are performing all the work requested by the users.<br />

SGA panel represents an area of computer memory that is used as a work area<br />

by the database. SGA stands for System Global Area.<br />

Background Processes panel represents a core set of computer processes that<br />

are independent of the user sessions and perform specialized tasks such as s<strong>to</strong>ring<br />

information about transactions in the redo log files.<br />

Disk S<strong>to</strong>rage panel represents the files in which the data is s<strong>to</strong>red and supporting<br />

files such as redo log files and archived redo log files.<br />
