8 JAMAL MAKES IT HAPPEN<br />
Former student and SB:TV founder Jamal Edwards, MBE was awarded<br />
the Association of Colleges Gold Award for Further Education Alumni.<br />
9 IT LEARNING CURVE<br />
We formed a partnership with Learning Curve Group to launch an<br />
exciting new IT academy for 16—<strong>18</strong> year olds — the first of its kind in<br />
west London.<br />
10 FLYING HIGHER<br />
Our new Academy Partnership with Swissport will give unprecedented<br />
behind-the-scenes access to Bristol Airport for our Travel & Tourism<br />
students, along with a guaranteed job interview for students who<br />
meet eligibility requirements.<br />
11 DINE AT MANOR HOUSE<br />
The historic, Grade II listed Manor House near our Southall College is<br />
being bought back to life as a new hub for our hospitality courses.<br />
12 INVOLVED IN THE COMMUNITY<br />
Ealing Green students did some great work for National Student<br />
Volunteering Week visiting a local residential home, doing up the College<br />
garden and painting a mural at Brent Lodge Park Animal Centre.<br />
13 YOUR VOICE MATTERS<br />
Nick Boles MP, Minister for Business Innovation Skills, visited<br />
Hammersmith & Fulham College students in May to hear their<br />
thoughts about apprenticeships and the new Apprenticeship Levy.<br />
14 BUILDING WITH BERKELEY<br />
We launched a local apprenticeship programme with Berkeley Homes<br />
to offer valuable career opportunities to local people and help<br />
increase the level of skilled workers throughout west London.<br />
15 HELPING YOU FIND WORK<br />
The College recently formed a partnership with fantastic recruitment<br />
company Reed NCFE to form a work experience hub at Hammersmith<br />
& Fulham College and outreach services to Acton Construction &<br />
STEM Centre, Ealing Green College and Southall Community College.<br />
16 POP-UP RESTAURANT<br />
College student Samson Ayoade set up an exciting pop-up restaurant<br />
at Hammersmith & Fulham College.<br />
