“THE BEST THING
ABOUT THE COLLEGE IS
THE ATMOSPHERE. IN SOME
COLLEGES, EVERYONE JUST
DOES THEIR OWN THINGS
AND THEN GOES HOME,
BUT HERE EVERYTHING IS
MORE RELAXED AND THE
TEACHERS ARE REALLY
GOOD”
The hair and beauty industry is a rapidly growing creative sector and our courses focus on developing
the relevant professional skills for a successful career. You will be taught and assessed by highly qualified
staff who have a wealth of up-to-date commercial and specialist teaching experience.
Working in our commercial hairdressing and treatment salons, you will gain hands-on experience to
prepare you for the workplace. There is also the opportunity for work experience placements thanks to
our strong links with businesses throughout the sector.
Students in the hair and beauty department are ambassadors for the College, taking part in regional
and national hair and beauty competitions, and offering a wide range of treatments to the public at
discounted prices under the guidance of expert staff.
Our industry connections mean that students benefit from regular visits from major product houses
and industry professionals who offer presentations, demonstrations and workshops. This creates an
enriched learning experience and ensures that students enter the workplace informed with up-to-date
knowledge. Many of our students also secure jobs on, or before, successful completion of their courses.
The majority of our students will undertake work experience as part of their course. We have close links
with Regis, Toni & Guy and Saks.
